Lecce - Italy
September 19, 2018 – September 21, 2018
The conference will focus on integrable systems, their geometric properties and their applications to physics.
This is a conference in honor of Boris G. Konopelchenko's 70th birthday, where his many contributions to all the above fields will be celebrated.
Besides the birthday celebrations, special sessions will take place to celebrate the anniversaries of two milestones of the Theory of Integrable Systems:
- 50 years since the publication of P. Lax's paper Integrals of nonlinear equations of evolution and solitary waves (Comm. Pure Applied Math., 21, 467 (1968));
- 40 years since the publication of F. Magri's paper A simple model of the integrable Hamiltonian system (J. Math. Phys. 19, 1156, (1978))
There will only be invited talks, while the participation is free to anybody. There is no registration fee, but we regret that no financial support is available.
Registration is now closed.
Participants are also kindly asked to arrange their own accommodation in Lecce. We provide a list of recommended hotels for convenience. Please be aware that the workshop takes place in high touristic season, and it is advisable to proceed with hotel reservation quite in advance.
