Submission deadline
Short Papers (up to 8 pages) containing novel results or providing a survey/summary of recently established results should be submitted before March 15th, 2026. All contributions undergo a peer-review process, accepted short papers will be part of the SMPS 2026 proceedings which will be published by Springer.
Update (May 16, 2026): The submission deadline has now expired. The new deadline only applies to the submission of the revised versions of the manuscripts, following the completion of the review process and the receipt of reviewers’ comments.
All authors are kindly requested to upload the revised version through their personal area as a single ZIP archive containing all relevant files (LaTeX source files, PDF version, figures if applicable, and any additional material).
IJAR best paper award: Elsevier will sponsor a best contribution award at SMPS 2026 supported by “International Journal of Approximate Reasoning”.

An archive with author instructions, LaTeX (svproc.cls) and BibTeX (spbasic.bst) style files as well as LaTeX template can be found here. If compiling the file ‘author_SMPS2026.tex’ does not work, please copy the contents of the zip-file into a new folder.
Note that it is mandatory to use this LaTeX template at least for the final submissions. That is, submissions for review may be in a different format, but must be changed to this format (in LaTeX) for the final submission.
