ATMA2024 is the sixth Conference organized within the activities of

The Conference will take place in the Conference Hall of the Rectorate of University of Salento, Piazzetta Tancredi 7, Lecce (Italy).

It is held in conjunction with the RITA and UMI-TAA Annual Meetings and on this occasion they will also be communicated the activities of the SIMAI ANA&A group.

The purpose of this international conference is to group together researchers of various fields of approximation presenting recent advances from both a theoretical and a numerical perspective.

Main topics are:

  • Approximation by sampling-type operators;
  • Approximation of semigroups;
  • Approximation of solutions of evolution problems;
  • Computer Aided Design;
  • Frames;
  • Integral equations;
  • Interpolation;
  • Inverse problems;
  • Kernel methods;
  • Mathematical signal and image processing;
  • Meshless approximation and applications;
  • Multi-Resolution Methods;
  • NURBS;
  • Positive Operators;
  • Quadrature;
  • Radial Basis Functions;
  • Subdivision Schemes;
  • Time-frequency transforms;
  • Wavelets.

The previous editions have been held in Padova (2023), Reggio Calabria (2021), Perugia (2020), Napoli (2019), Palermo (2017).

In the previuos editions almost 100 mathematicians have participated from different countries.

In this edition we have scheduled six general conferences and many contributed talks.

Moreover, we will have the following special sessions:

  • A poster session;
  • An open problems session on themes of particular interest in Approximation Theory;
  • A session with the assemblies of the RITA, UMI-TAA and SIMAI ANA&A groups.
