The International Conference on eXtended Reality (XR SALENTO 2024) intends to bring together the community of researchers from academia and industry, computer scientists, engineers, physicians in order to share points of views, know-how, experiences, scientific and technical results related to eXtended Reality, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Mining technologies and applications.

Papers submitted to XR SALENTO 2024 must not have been previously published and must not be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Acceptance decisions will be based on the ability to contribute to the state-of-the-art, accuracy and originality of ideas, quality of the methodology adopted, clarity and significance of results. Only papers submitted through the online submission system and strictly adhering to the relevant format will be considered for reviewing and publication.

XR SALENTO 2024 accepts two different types of paper: full papers (10–20 pages) and short papers (6-9 pages).

Full papers should mainly focus on research, applications or systems describing results that contribute to advances in the state-of-the-art, software, hardware, algorithms, interaction or human factors.

Short papers should mainly focus on work-in-progress, achievements of initial research, projects in early stages of development, case studies, etc. Accepted short papers will be published in conference proceedings and presented at XR Salento 2024 as poster.

Authors should consult Springer’s guidelines and technical instructions for the preparation of proceedings papers. For your convenience, the Authors Guidelines are available here.

Springer provides templates for Word and LaTeX users that help structure the paper. LaTeX is the preferred format for texts containing several formulae. You can find the two templates in the Overview page of this platform.

Springer encourages authors to include their ORCID iD in proceedings papers.

Authors can refer to Springer's LNCS webpage, where they can find nearly all information relevant to both volume editors and contributing authors regarding the LNCS print/electronic publication process.

The best papers will be selected by the Scientific Committee.

The payment of the early registration fee is mandatory for publication in proceedings.
