Program
9.30: meeting at the Grand Hotel Tiziano.
10.00: departure for Castro.
10.40: arrival at Castro, a pretty town called the Pearl of Salento. Here you can admire the Castro Bay and the panoramic route.
12.00: departure for Otranto. The streets of the city are characterized of white lime and they are narrow, full of shops and craft shops.
In Otranto you can admire the most important churches of the Byzantine Period as the Church of San Pietro built in the Seventh Century.
The Aragonese Castle is located in the heart of the historical center of the city and the beautiful Romanesque Cathedral is one of the richest and most interesting monuments of the Salento Peninsula: inside you can find the mosaic floor that covers the whole church and the Palatine Chapel where seven cabinets contain the bones of the 800 martyrs killed in the Turk Age .
15.30: Departure for Muro Leccese e Giuggianello.
16.00: Visit at Botanical Garden.
17.00: departure for Lecce.
17.30: The tour ends at Grand Hotel Tiziano.
